About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Consultant to lead all IR/ER initiatives and operational requirements across the organisation. As a key member of the P&C leadership team, reporting to the Director of People and Culture, your main responsibility will be to lead all IR/ER policy development, complex case management, enterprise agreements, and change management. You will provide expert IR/ER advice to leaders and frontline managers, while coaching and building ER capability across the P&C Business Partnering team.
Other key elements of the role include:
Develop best practice employee relations practices and principles that align with the organisations strategic and people goals.
Provide consultation and advice to management, operational areas, and employees on an array of employee relations matter, including the application and interpretation of Enterprise agreements, policies and related legislation.
Coaching and advising on the interpretation of enterprise agreements, modern awards and employment contracts.
Advising on technical aspects of investigations and advise on appropriate outcomes of investigations.
Represent the organisation in external tribunals if required.
Provide support and mentoring to other members of the P&C team to ensure that they act in accordance with industrial obligations.
Oversee EA negotiations and implementation.
Provide training and updates on changes to Fair Work legislation.
About you
As a highly experienced IR/ER professional, you will be degree-qualified and have experience operating at a senior level with a strong understanding of relevant industrial and employment legislation.
You will have proven experience in drafting, interpreting, and applying employment contracts, industrial agreements, and employment policies. You will have demonstrated ability to manage and build productive working relationships at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.
