Job Title: Slurry Pump Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Supervisor: Operations Manager Atlas

Work Location: 7 Contest Link, Henderson, Western Australia

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Diagnosis of slurry pump performance problems, identifies issues and parts for replacement, and repairs slurry pumps for the mining and resources sector;

2. Supervises painting of slurry pumps and key spare parts that are installed on slurry pumps;

3. Provides technical support, and repair advice to Atlas customers when requested by the Operations Manager;

4. Strip, photograph, assess and quote for repair to pumps including the rotables process. prepares job instructions and orders spare parts for service work in progress where necessary;

5. Supports customers preventative maintenance activities, travels to mine sites when requested;

6. Communicates with the Operations Manager and Managing Director on service centre issues and recommendations; and

7. Always complies with Atlas health and safety policies and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

8. Trade diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline such as fitter, mechanic;

9. Preferable slurry pump service and repair experience.

10. At least four years work experience with a mining equipment supplier;

11. Proven skills at trouble shooting mechanical problems and providing solutions to overcome performance issues; and

12. Experience at operating overhead cranes to 20 metric tonne capacity is preferrable;

13. Properly forklift licensed and experience at operating forklifts within an industrial environment.
