Coopers Plains Car Care (Future Auto Coopers Plains) is looking for a top-notch Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our busy but friendly southside mechanical workshop located in Coopers Plains. We provide our customers with a range of services including vehicle servicing and general repairs, air conditioning repairs and re-gas and Safety Certificates.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing an extensive range of vehicles including passenger, light commercial and four-wheel drives. Your main duties will include but not limited to servicing and diagnostics, brakes and suspension, as well as repairs and maintenance of the vehicle. You will perform all work required of you to the highest quality and in line with industry standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Trade qualified mechanic

Have a strong work ethic and perform top quality work on time and accurately

Understand the importance of safety in the workplace

Be a team player and willing to assist in all areas of the workshop

Prior experience working on all types of vehicles (highly regarded)

Experience in diagnosis and solid well-rounded knowledge of vehicle repairs and servicing

Good understanding and be skilled in, the use of scanners and/or analysers

ABOUT YOU

Great organisational skills and clear communication skills (written and verbal)

Current manual drivers licence (required) and well-equipped toolbox

A/C and Roadworthy licences would be a great advantage but not required

Automotive electrical skills would also be a great advantage but not required

Have pride in personal presentation

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

Competitive pay (subject to experience)

5-day / 38-hour work week with no overtime required (unless wanted as it is available)

Supportive and flexible working environment (pick which 8-hour window works for you Monday to Thursday (7am to 3pm / 8am to 4pm / 9am to 5pm) – Friday is strictly 7am to 3pm
