Also possible to start from 9 July in preparation for Term 3 delivery start Wed 23 July.
Early applications reviewed as we receive them!
We're looking for a growth-mindset facilitator-trainer to work with a small group of great young people in an interactive and engaging program for students at risk of disengaging from school. Our current facilitator has reluctantly had to finish up with our small group of eight Year 10/11s.
We develop a positive and safe place for students to learn through collaborative group work and hands-on activities. Our aim is to provide them with work readiness and personal development, through delivery of VET Certificate II in Active Volunteering.
Central Ranges Local Learning & Employment Network (CRLLEN ) is seeking a dynamic and passionate facilitator to deliver Project Ready on Wednesdays in Yea (working from home half a day a week and during term breaks).
With a current Certificate IV TAE, you'll have experience and demonstrated success delivering training, preferably in a youth or secondary school setting, and volunteering/community contribution experience.
You will possess an engaging and compassionate training delivery style. Your knowledge of strength-based learning, wellbeing strategies and pastoral care create a group environment that is student-centred, relational, safe and nurturing. You understand that building trusting relationships with young people and creating 'groupness' in a training environment are key to obtaining better learning outcomes.
Highly desirable but not essential are qualifications in group facilitation, wellbeing, careers or youth work.
What's in it for you?
You get to support a small group of young people and give them a chance to grow and learn. You'll be paid for 9.5 hours per week under the SCHADS award. This is inclusive of a 5.5 hour delivery day every Wednesday during school terms in Yea, with your remaining hours working from home at a time that suits you, to do planning, assessment, any follow up for students, collaborative supervision and administration.
We'll provide you with a comprehensive induction and handover, collaborative supervision support and a range of professional development opportunities. This includes a peer learning circle with other Project Ready facilitator-trainers from across the state.
We are into our ninth year of the program, and have a facilitator manual with content for session plans, activities and assessment. While the curriculum is well-established, you are welcome to contribute your own style.
