The Company

My client is an OTS and SaaS product company delivering AV recording, playback and transcription solutions to the legal industry. Their offerings include a centralized online, court record management platform and real-time speech-to-text transcription software. The engineering team is based in Brisbane or remote and are all senior, experienced and switched on. They have established a good balance between shipping product often and building things well.

The Role

The roles will sit within a cross functional agile team in their cloud platform division, partnering with other engineers, designers and product owners. Strong communication skills and a firm opinion on good development practices are required!

Technical Environment

Their core technology stack is Typescript using NestJS with Express, Postgres, Angular 15 / React deployed using Github Actions into AWS.

Desirable experience / knowledge (or an appetite to learn about)

• Working with and managing the growth of software with complex requirements
• Development of SPAs/PWAs, using web-centric technologies with knowledge offrameworks such as React, Angular, Vue or others of the type
• Developing HTTP-based APIs running inside Amazon Web Services, Docker, Cloud based architecture and patterns,
• Relational databases, indexes and query optimisation
• Automated testing (unit, integration and e2e) paradigms and technologies
• The application of code and deployment management tools, such as Git, GitHub and Jenkins
• Participating in an agile development environment
• NodeJS and TypeScript
• Asynchronous/Event-driven Software Design patterns
• Experience with Media Codecs and Formats
