The role
You will be employed on a day-to-day basis at our Kiewa Secondary Boys Campus to replace temporary or permanent teachers who are on short-term leave covering a range of subjects where a particular need arises. Pay rate is +$402 inc super per day.
To be considered, applicants must possess the following attributes:
Must have a working understanding of, and strong commitment to Ilim College's ethos.
Will be able to provide students with a positive learning environment, utilising strong communication and inter-personal skills
Will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the unique pastoral needs of young men
Must possess high proficiency in skillsets within a contemporary blended learning environment
Well-developed interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff and students in enhancing the quality of learning and development of young minds
Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice
Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner
Demonstrated experience in differentiation of curriculum
Valid VIT

The College has ESL and Special Needs Departments, which are staffed with professional selected personnel. With the support of a qualified Nurse, Psychologists and Speech Pathologists on school premises, we take a wholesome approach resulting in sound student-adult interaction, combined with additional guidance services such as Pastoral Care, Reading Recovery and Levelled Literacy Intervention Program, Homework Club and tutorials available lead to improved achievement and wellbeing.
