About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Front End Developer with specific experience working with Embedded Linux to help build the next generation of situational awareness platforms. In this role, you’ll craft powerful, intuitive user interfaces that translate complex operational data into actionable intelligence — all while collaborating with a world-class team of engineers, data scientists, and embedded developers.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where innovation, performance, and user experience are paramount. The software you write will play a critical role in systems used across defence, security, and industrial applications.

What You’ll Tackle

• Design and develop user-facing features in a complex command-and-control platform
• Translate real-time operational data and sensor inputs into clear, intuitive visual interfaces
• Work closely with backend, data, and embedded teams to ensure seamless integration of front-end components
• Build and maintain reusable UI components and libraries with performance and scalability in mind
• Implement responsive design for optimal experience across multiple screen sizes and form factors
• Consume and visualise REST APIs and WebSocket data streams in dynamic, real-time interfaces
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, especially related to front-end and client-side performance
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested TypeScript code using modern development tools
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives
• Take ownership of the user experience, advocating for UI/UX best practices and accessibility

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of commercial front-end development experience
• Strong experience with React and modern TypeScript frameworks and tooling
• Experience working with Embedded Linux
• Comfortable consuming complex REST APIs and handling WebSocket data
• Familiar with Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Postman, and working in Linux-based development environments
• Bonus if you’ve worked in a startup, scale-up, or real-time systems environment
• Self-driven, collaborative, and eager to contribute to high-impact projects from day one
