About the role

Pearl Home Care Brisbane South is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate NDIS Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. As an NDIS Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised care and support to our clients with a range of disabilities, enabling them to live independently and with dignity. This position is based in Holmview, QLD 4207.

What you'll be doing

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and domestic duties
• Provide social and recreational support, encouraging clients to engage in community activities and hobbies
• Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their needs are met in accordance with their NDIS plan
• Document client progress and communicate effectively with the wider care team
• Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

What we're looking for

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred care to individuals with a range of disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those in your care
• A current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
• Availability to work 7am - 5pm up to 7 days per week.
• Willingness to complete Domestic Assistance tasks for up to 5hrs per day.
• Ability to use manual transfer equipment including hoists and slide sheets.
