About the role

Join the talented team at Austin Metal Maintenance as a Boilermaker in Mackay, QLD and surrounds. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of Earthmoving, Farming, Transport equipment and other metal fabrication work. As a skilled Boilermaker, you will be an integral part of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client's equipment.

What you'll be doing

Fabricate, maintain and repair all aspects of our clients equipment and plant.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete projects accurately and to a high standard

Perform welding, cutting, grinding and other metalworking tasks using a variety of tools and equipment

Collaborate with the wider team to identify and resolve issues, implement solutions and deliver projects on time

Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control procedures to ensure a safe working environment and quality of the task

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications as a Boilermaker, with a trade certificate or relevant apprenticeship

Proven experience as a Boilermaker or in a similar metal fabrication role.

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Skilled in performing a range of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding

Demonstrable attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to working in a team

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to our Mackay site
