We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Farm Hand to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assisting with operations of a mixed farming operation (2 properties) , which includes sheep (10,000+) and winter cropping.

The farms total 2500ha of broadacre dryland cropping (cereals, canola, vetch) , improved pastures and 200ha under centre pivot irrigation. They also carry a substantial number of sheep and are focused on the production of quality meat and wool. Make your mark in this exciting opportunity.

The Farm Hand will report to the Farm Manager and will work within a small team of employees and contractors, utilising record keeping platforms such as Agworld and Mobble.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical mind and be proficient in the use of John Deere tractors with Greenstar and Gold acres SP sprayers. Ideally you will also have sound animal husbandry knowledge, with your own working dogs preferable. Knowledge of Zimmatic pivots is also desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Agriculture an advantage
• 2+ years experience in a similar role
• HC or MC license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
