About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at 'I'm With You' in Caulfield North, VIC. This part-time position will see you providing personalised support and care to individuals living with disabilities, empowering them to live independently and achieve their goals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Providing companionship and engaging clients in recreational and social activities

Advocating for clients and working collaboratively with their support network

Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

Certificate 3 in individual support, or previous experience with the commitment to undertake this qualification.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Excellent organisational and time management skills

A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)

We are looking at filling this role on an urgent basis and therefore, there are afternoon shifts available, and inactive overnight shifts available.

Preference with experience with a physical and mental health disability.

Pro activeness in completing tasks to the client's specifications.

English to be first language
