About Us
We are a hospitality group located in the heart of Wollongong’s CBD, operating a portfolio of pub venues. Our focus is on delivering exceptional service and memorable guest experiences. We're now looking for a detail oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our central Accounts Office. This role is a key part of our finance operations, working closely with venue management and company directors.
About the Role
As a bookkeeper, you’ll help maintain accurate financial records and support the day-to-day financial operations across our venues. Working from our group Accounts office, you'll be a go to person for finance tasks and admin support, while also helping us stay on top of compliance and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Duties:
Reconcile weekly takings sheets and EFTPOS transactions
Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations
Manage and schedule bill payments using Lightyear
Maintain up-to-date financial records in Xero
Ensure accurate entry of transactions from Bepoz POS
Assist with month end processes and financial reporting
Payroll Software, Deputy
Office Administration:
Provide general admin support to the accounts and management teams
Manage filing systems, document control, and handle correspondence
Monitor and respond to shared email inboxes in a timely manner
Organise and maintain office supplies and internal records
Assist with internal communications
Compliance & Communication:
Liaise with external accountants and government agencies as needed
Assist with compliance tasks, including BAS, superannuation, and payroll documentation
Maintain clear and accurate records for audits and compliance
Help ensure business practices align with legal and industry standards
About You
Experience in bookkeeping and general office admin (hospitality experience is a plus)
Comfortable using Xero, Lightyear, and Deputy (familiarity with Bepoz is a bonus)
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Confident communicator and a reliable team player
Well organised, independent, and proactive
Knowledge of compliance requirements such as BAS, super, and payroll
