The Company:

Immediate long term contract opportunity for a Data Tester to work within the Federal Government. You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain Baseline Clearance to be considered. This role requires you to be Sydney based and open to working 3 days in the office.

The Role:

Join the Enterprise Data Team which is responsible for managing all data applications with a mix of manual and automation testing. You will have demonstrated experience in designing, managing and executing test cases to identify data quality & integration defects and ensure that the ETL and data development meets the quality standards of the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop, execute, and maintain functional test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts for data collection and data warehouse applications.
• Execute test cases manually or where appropriate by using automated testing tools (UFT and Jmeter preferred).
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Validate data integrity and accuracy within data warehouse. environments.
• Facilitate UAT with relevant business stakeholders.
• Ability to generate and provision data files and data sets to consuming parties and systems for the purposes of testing in integration and data migration tests.
• Identify, document, and prioritise defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Automate testing processes in a repeatable and efficient manner where possible.
• Challenging the status quo and seeking opportunities to simplify testing processes.

Required Experience:

• Ability to write and understand SQL scripts with the intent to create data files, analyse the data and generate results.
• Proficiency in Functional and Non-Functional Testing, with ability to lead the process end-to-end.
• Demonstrated experience with Data Warehouse & Data collection platforms.
• Ideally, experience in automation testing / automation & test management tools - Azure DevOps test plans.
• Knowledge on GIT and maintenance of source code repositories.
• Strong communication & collaboration skills with both technical teams and stakeholders.
• Desire to bring fresh & innovation to testing processes.
