Data Engineer – ETL Solution Designer (Informatica)

Join a major banking transformation program where your technical input will shape scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions. We're seeking a hands-on Data Engineer with strong ETL and integration experience who can step up to design responsibilities without the full Solution Architect price tag.

About the Role:

You'll be the go-to person for end-to-end ETL solution design across complex systems and regulatory data flows. Working with delivery and architecture teams, you’ll play a key role in the uplift of legacy pipelines into modern, cloud-aligned environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust data integration solutions with a focus on ETL workflows
• Lead solution design using Informatica (PowerCenter and/or IICS)
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects and Engineers to translate business needs
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and data governance standards
• Support technical documentation and design handover

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience in ETL design and data integration
• Strong hands-on skills with Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing and modelling principles
• Experience in large-scale or regulated environments (banking/finance preferred)
• Strong communication skills to work across business and tech teams

Desirable:

• Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud data environments
• Experience with metadata-driven ETL frameworks
• Background in performance tuning and scalable data architecture
