A leading enterprise business in Sydney is calling for a Contract QA Automation Engineer — someone not just looking to write tests, but to leave a mark. Think of it as joining a journey in progress — one where the automation landscape is transforming, and your experience can accelerate that change.

What You’ll Walk Into You’ll step into a large-scale environment with critical platforms that touch millions of users. The automation foundation is there — but it needs a builder, a problem-solver, and a QA strategist to take it to the next level.
You’ll be owning automation across both API and UI, partnering with platform teams, devs, and testers to future-proof the testing strategy.

Your Quest: What You'll Be Doing

API Automation

• Migrate and modernise existing API test suites (think Karate, Postman)
• Review endpoints, automate from scratch, and integrate a pen-test proxy layer
• Create robust mock environments to simulate real-world conditions

UI Automation

• Enhance end-to-end user journeys using Playwright
• Implement visual testing with Applitools
• Build automation for payment workflows, account actions, and more

Overall Test Strategy

• Expand regression test coverage
• Define testing best practices for the broader engineering team
• Investigate flaky tests and decommission outdated test systems

Your Toolkit To thrive, you’ll bring:

• API automation expertise – Karate, Postman, or similar tools
• UI automation skills – ideally in Playwright and Applitools
• Experience shaping test strategies and frameworks
• A proven background in enterprise-scale engineering environments
