About the role

We are excited to offer a full-time Accounting role at Selby Watson & Co. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing tax and accounting services to a diverse range of clients.

The role is for an Accountant willing to support the Partners and client managers, with a desire to eventually manage your own portfolio of clients. Our busy office will suit an organised and tech-savvy person looking to continue or even begin their accounting career. To make sure we find the right fit for us, we are flexible in terms of your experience level.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and friendly environment, contributing to the firm's continued success.

What you'll be doing

Preparing tax returns, financial statements and Business Activity Statements

Attending to other tax compliance activities

Assiting in tax planning strategies for clients

Assisting with financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting

Supporting other members of the accounting team with day-to-day tasks

Collaborating with the team to identify and implement process improvements

Developing the skills to manage your own client base

Is this you?

An interest in the Accounting Industry and a drive to further your knowledge and/or qualifications

Anywhere between 0-5 years' experience in an accounting or tax advisory role

Excellent attention to detail

Willingness to engage with clients

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively

Strong IT skills

Energetic, and a sense of humour
