We are seeking a dedicated and skilled solicitor with 2 – 5 years PAE to work predominantly in our Family Law and Wills and Estates practice. However, the optimal candidate would be prepared, based on their experience, to handle the occasional civil or conveyancing file, or criminal law mention. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, engage directly with clients and manage your own matters, working alongside experienced and collegiate practitioners committed to mentoring you and to your professional development.

Key responsibilities

· Manage diverse range of legal matters from inception to resolution

· Provide clear, practical and timely legal advice to clients

· Drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence

· Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court appearances

· Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and solutions

· Client relationship management

· Collaborating with team members and contributing to business development initiatives

· Conducting legal research and analysis

About you:

2 – 5 years PAE [private practice strongly preferred]

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong drafting, communication and negotiation skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Proficiency in legal research and practice management software

A client-focussed mindset with commercial awareness and commitment to deliver exceptional service.

A team player who thrives in a supportive, fast-paced environment

An aptitude for and/or interest in negotiation, mediation, and advocacy
