About the Role

D&J’s Civil Construction is seeking an experienced and responsible Civil Supervisor to oversee subdivision, infrastructure, and general civil works across a growing range of projects throughout Brisbane and Ipswich.

The Civil Supervisor will work closely with the Directors and Engineers to lead delivery on site — coordinating subcontractors, managing safety and compliance, and ensuring programs remain on track. You’ll need to be proactive, reliable and solutions-driven.

This role will suit a Supervisor with significant technical experience in earthworks, services, pipe laying, and stormwater, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a team that values relationships, quality and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise day-to-day civil works on active sites (Brisbane and Ipswich)

Oversee subcontractors and suppliers in delivering works to specification, safety, and schedule

Coordinate staging of bulk earthworks, underground services, roadworks, retaining walls, stormwater, and structural works

Ensure all inspections, compaction reports, hold points, and RPEQ sign-offs are met

Maintain clear communication with the company Directors, engineers, and council

Monitor site safety, environmental controls, and compliance documentation

Lead prestart talks, and drive quality across all activities

Maintain clean, accurate site records and escalate early where needed

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 3–5 years as a Civil Supervisor or Foreman in subdivisions or infrastructure

Strong practical knowledge of council standards civil inspection processes

Background in bulk earthworks, sewer/water and/or stormwater

Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and proactively coordinate works

Confident leading subcontractors, running a tight site, and holding trades accountable

Clear communicator with a safety-first mindset and strong organisational skills

Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction or equivalent experience
