Are you passionate about shaping children’s experiences in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment? Junction Park Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director to join our leadership team on a permanent part-time basis (25–30 hours per week).

About Us

Junction Park OSHC is a vibrant, community-focused and P&C-run service, located within Junction Park State School. We provide high-quality before school, after school, and vacation care programs to children from diverse backgrounds. Our team is committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children thrive. Service is licenced for 180 children, although we are currently sitting average around 70 children in before school and 150 in after school care.

Your Role

As Assistant Director, you’ll work closely with the Director to lead and support our team, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service. You’ll have the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, support staff development, and play a key part in delivering a child-centred program.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Director with daily operations and leadership duties

Maintain a safe, compliant, and inclusive environment for children and staff

Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to support program development and reflective practice

Build strong relationships with children, families, and school staff

Ability to step into the Director role when required

About You:

Diploma of School Age Education and Care (or actively working toward)

Minimum 2 years' experience in OSHC or a similar setting

Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and My Time Our Place (MTOP)

Effective communication, organisation, and leadership skills

Current Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain)

Favourable Experience:

While not essential, we value candidates with experience in the following areas:

Assisting or leading the day to day operations of outside school hours care or equivalent

Knowledge and experience of Xplor (or experience with other similar products)

Engagement with families and school communities in a leadership or support role

Working with children with diverse needs and abilities

Understanding and implementation of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) practices
