This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team that is responsible for developing and expanding the Northern Territory's exploration, mining and extractive industries, and assisting with the effective rehabilitation of legacy mine sites.

The Mining Development Division delivers strategies, policy and regulation to support the responsible operation and expansion of the Northern Territory’s minerals exploration, mining and extractive industries, and the effective rehabilitation of legacy mine sites.

The position provides strategic leadership of the Mining Development Division with the objective of sustainably growing the Territory's mining sector. The position will contribute to growing social licence for the mining sector through delivering legacy mine rehabilitation projects and effective title regulation while working with stakeholders to return value to Territorians.

Based in the Darwin Office located in the heart of the city and while predominantly office-based this position requires remote travel to mine sites across the Northern Territory.
