Early Childhood Teacher

Hourly Rate: $34.02 to $58.96 (rate dependent on level of experience and validation level)

Mooroopna Children and Families Centre has an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Teacher to lead a team in their three year old kindergarten program.

This role is 37 Hours 30 minutes per week, with allocated teaching and non-teaching time.

This role is employed under the Early Education Employees Agreement 2020 (EEEA) which includes a 10 week leave model.

We are seeking a teacher capable of supporting our service in delivering a play-based education and care program. This program aims to nurture children's confidence, foster a sense of belonging, cultivate a love of learning, and promote community connectedness. The ideal candidate will create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that facilitates a smooth transition for children from home to our service.

Our program places a strong emphasis on connecting with our local community, promoting sustainability, exploring the natural environment, and allowing children ample time for uninterrupted play.

Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and certificates:

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent recognised by ACECQA)

Current HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Current CPR – HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Criminal History Check (valid within six months).

Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration

Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other obligations early childhood
