The Role:

Part Time / Casual

Working within our team to deliver of high-quality education that supports safety, participation, wellbeing and empowerment of children aged 3 - 5 years, some of whom experience developmental delays.

We are looking for Early Childhood Teacher or Assistant to join our Monkey Minds team, specifically for our:

Early Years Program (3-4 year old)

School Readiness Program (4-5 year old)

Your role will include:

Provide support in classes at our premises in Dromana

During school times (approximate 9am to 3:30pm)

Support parents of a 3 to 5-year-old child to guide what best suits their child’s needs

Assess and communicate the child’s development and ongoing progress

Ensure that supports are clearly documented, coordinated, and communicated to families and internal and external stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will:

Minimum 1 years proven and documented experience working with children with Developmental, Speech Delay and Behavioural Challenges

Understanding of child development and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

Work with our team to implement a high-quality educational program for the Pre-Kinder and School Readiness program in line with EYLF

Ability to assess, record and maintain observations of children’s progress and development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with colleagues, families and children

Understanding of NDIS funding is advantageous but not necessary

Minimum qualification you will have:

Diplomia in Early Childhood Education/Support

or

A Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education
