About the role

The Castle Tavern is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join our team in Edwardstown SA on a casual & full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a variety of roles within our vibrant hospitality business, including Duty Manager, Head Chef Gaming & Bistro staff.

What you'll be doing

Duty Manager: Oversee the nighttime operations of the tavern, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Provide exceptional customer service, lead and manage the front-of-house team, and handle any customer queries or issues. Excellent cash handling skills along with the ability to problem solve & diffuse situations must be second nature, as must be the ability to smell trouble coming. Can be an unpredictable environment so we require a leader who can manage both sides of the bar through any situation.

Head Chef: Manage the kitchen team - develop creative, delicious & unique dishes & menu's - ensure high standards of food preparation & presentation; monitor food costs and inventory. Managing rosters and menus to be cost effective, implementing policies and procedures to ensure highest standard of cleanliness and food safety at all times. Leading and motivating your team to get the best out of them ensuring a successful and thriving business. Very Generous Salary on offer for the right candidate

Gaming & Bistro Staff: Provide outstanding customer service in our gaming lounge and bistro, prepare and serve food and drinks, and maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all areas inside and out. Exceptional customer service skills, we are looking for happy and welcoming individuals to welcome our customers into all areas of our venue, ensuring they have the best experience possible each and every time. Must be able to work as part of a team and step in where needed - serving the customer is the priority and here we all do what is needed to ensure a seamless running of the venue at all times.

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of success in similar roles

Relevant qualifications, such as a hospitality or culinary degree, or equivalent experience essential

Strong leadership and team management skills, good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Passion for food, beverages, and creating exceptional experiences for all our patrons

Flexibility and willingness to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends - late nights included

FOH applicants must all have RSA. DM and Gaming applicants must have current Responsible Gaming Training.
