About the role
Due to business growth, we are actively seeking a new Electrical Estimator with a strong background in Industrial construction projects to fulfill the following functions:

• Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates, including materials, Labour, equipment, and overheads.
• Conduct value engineering assessments to optimize cost-efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or safety.
• Actively participate in Business Development activity to maintain open pipelines
• Generate beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with the training, development and mentoring of other estimating team members.

These duties may include:

• Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and lead times
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and scopes of work for accurate costing
• Support the project team to monitor the project program in respect to construction activities
• Ensure activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Assurance, Environmental Management, and Safety Management Plans and other relevant standards and legislation
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of all relevant electrical safety requirements, records, legislation, and policies and communicate these to employees.

Requirements
Our successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator
• Relevant experience in Electrical Estimating for Industrial Construction projects
• Well-developed communication skills including the ability to interact with internal customers, external stakeholders, and clients
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and promote cohesive teamwork
• Proficient in estimating software (ConEst or WinEst preferred)
• Understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations as required by local government, state and federal legislation
• Legal unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
