We are seeking a skilled Junior Integration/Automation Engineer to join our team in our Sydney office and assist with the integration and automation initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT and software development teams to design and implement integrations between internal and third-party applications via RESTful APIs and webhooks.

• Develop automation tools and intelligent systems using Python, leveraging AI/ML frameworks where applicable to enhance operational efficiency.

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including user account lifecycle management, license allocation, and advanced troubleshooting of service-related issues.

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of Azure infrastructure components such as Azure SQL Database, App Services, and Azure Functions.

• Participate in the rollout and maintenance of software updates, patches, and new application features across internal systems.

• Automate recurring IT operations, including user provisioning, report generation, and data pipeline workflows using Python, PowerShell, and cloud-native tools.

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving Azure cloud services, SQL databases, and application/API integration failures.

• Deliver timely and effective technical support to end-users, maintaining high service availability and minimizing business disruption.

Essential Skills:

- Highly proficient in Python, with extensive hands-on experience developing automation scripts, orchestrating system workflows, integrating APIs, and building robust tools for data processing, reporting, and IT operations.

- Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for web-based integrations and tooling.

- Experience integrating AI services via APIs.

- Understanding of application security principles and best practices.

- Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration, including enterprise applications and user management.

- Competence in SQL database design, development, and performance optimization.

- Understanding of RESTful API integration and best practices.

- Experience using Git for version control and collaboration in team environments.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive troubleshooting approach.

- Basic understanding of networking concepts and IT security best practices.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Desired Skills:

- Proficient in leveraging Microsoft Azure Portal for deploying and managing cloud services, with hands-on experience in Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL Database.

- Skilled in API development, testing, and documentation using tools such as Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI.

- Experienced in utilizing cloud and database monitoring solutions to ensure system reliability, performance, and availability.

- Familiar with DevOps methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions.

- Committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies, cloud trends, and industry best practices.
