About the role
Are you passionate about communications, media and community engagement?
Council is seeking a motivated and dynamic Communications Undergraduate to join their team!
As a Communications Undergraduate, you’ll gain invaluable experience while supporting the communications team in delivering effective campaigns, digital content and public relations initiatives.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a current undergraduate student to build their professional skills and contribute to meaningful projects within the local community.
Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in creating engaging content for Council’s website, social media channels and newsletters
- Support the development of media releases and communications materials
- Collaborate on projects that promote community engagement and local events
- Provide administrative support to the communications team as needed
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Currently enrolled in the penultimate or final year of an undergraduate Communications degree or a relevant discipline
- Competent in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
