About the role:

We are currently looking for a Trade Assistant to join our workshop team at our factory in Somerville. The successful candidate will have the relevant qualifications for the role outlined below:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Interstate deliveries (2 nights away per month)

Assembling switchboards in factory

Picking and packing orders

Checking off received goods against delivery dockets

Ordering parts and materials

Carrying out stocktakes

Housekeeping

Loading trucks

Assemble and layout switchgear and components according to specifications and drawings

About you:

Physically fit with a good attitude and willingness to learn

Strong work ethic and dependable

Strong communication skills for interaction with staff, management, and customers

Ability to work independently

Available to work away for at least 2 nights per month on average

Detail oriented

Quick learner, committed to continual development

Commitment to maintaining a high standard of safety and work quality – we only accept excellence

Forklift license (preferred, but not essential)

Experience using hand and power tools is preferred

Experience driving long distances

Experience with towing and reversing trailers
