About the role

Bencon civil construction is seeking a dedicated Drilling Assistant & Drill operator to join our team in Craigieburn, VIC. As a Drilling Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our drilling operations and contributing to the successful delivery of our construction projects. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to develop your skills in the trades and services industry.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the drilling crew with the operation and maintenance of drilling equipment

Performing general labouring tasks such as site preparation, equipment loading and unloading

Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment

Reporting any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the drilling crew supervisor

Collaborating with the team to complete drilling tasks on schedule and to a high standard

What we're looking for

Some experience in a labouring or construction-related role, preferably in the drilling or civil works industry

A strong understanding of health and safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with the drilling crew

Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
