  • Full-Time, Permanent Position (1.0FTE)
  • SCHADS Level 6 with a salary range of: $106,487 - $111,209 per annum + Superannuation

About the program

Nundah House is an alternative to admission facility offering a Step Up and Step Down Model of Care. The Service Manager is responsible for the:

  • Ongoing management and further development of the Program
  • Work collaboratively with Neami Leadership and QLD Health partners to improve and develop the overall service response to people living with a mental illness within our community
  • Play a key role in service development, including ongoing evaluation and review of service outcomes.

Nundah House is a ten bed sub-acute facility that provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or are still recovering from an acute illness and need a short period of additional support and consolidation to complement their treatment and support. Nundah House is operated by Neami in partnership with the Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) and aims to prevent avoidable inpatient admissions. During their stay consumers are assisted to develop a wellness plan including relapse prevention. The staff team at Nundah House will consist of a team of Senior Practice Leads, Mental Health & Wellbeing Workers and designated lived experience Peer Support Workers, Nundah operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The Nundah House Service operates on a 7-day rotating roster of morning and afternoon shifts

About your new role

The Service Manager is responsible for the overall management and development of the Program. The Service Manager will work collaboratively with partners to develop and improve the overall service response to consumers. The Manager will also undertake a key role in service development, including ongoing evaluation and review of service outcomes. The Service Manager works closely with the Senior Manager Operations to support the management and operation of the Program(s).

What you will bring to the role

  • Formal tertiary qualification in a related field and/or experience working in a relevant setting within a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower team members through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff and partner organisations
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and written communication skills
  • Compliant with QLD Health workplace health and safety requirements, including requirements for workers in Healthcare settings

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
  • Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
  • Australian working rights
