The Role
The National Partnerships Branch is looking to fill multiple roles located in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth within the Partnership State Offices, National Partnerships Program Office, Strategy Unit and ASD’s Cyber Security Services.
- Partnership State Offices are responsible for building and maintaining strong trusted relationships with industry and government.
- National Partnership Program Office is responsible for the overall coordination of the cyber security partnership program, project management and data analytics.
- National Partnership’s Strategy Unit is responsible for shaping and informing how ASD engages with priority industry partners, including ASD’s most senior level engagement with industry partners.
- ASD’s Cyber Security Services is responsible for Network Partner service delivery and engagement activities for key cyber defensive services.
Your role will include managing or supporting the delivery of national events and engagements with external partners. It may also include managing data analysis to support service delivery activities, working with legal artefacts and assisting with high-profile and fast-paced policy and program work.
Enhancing ASD’s cyber security partnerships and industry engagements is an ASD strategic priority and a key area of focus for REDSPICE. This is an exciting opportunity for applicants to lead a multi-disciplinary team to assist and deliver ASD’s cyber security partnerships priorities and industry engagements.

National Partnerships connects Australian Government, industry, education and research institutions to ASD; aligning partners with the best ASD services and programs. Working in the branch, you will help develop and deliver effective, efficient and nationally consistent engagement programs. National Partnerships staff support ASD cyber security partners to help uplift collective cyber security awareness and resilience, enhancing cyber intelligence sharing. You will apply your skills and experience to help ensure that ASD products and services are communicated, delivered and utilised effectively, to uplift cyber security across Australia.

ASD Executive Level 1 National Partnerships Assistant Director
- Identify, build and sustain trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Motivate the team, provide direction and manage workflows, while modelling an inclusive, supportive culture.
- Implement activities to drive continuous improvement, delivering timely, accurate products.
- Undertake objective, systematic analysis.
- Gather and investigate information from a variety of sources, and adhere to organisational documentation procedures.
- Understand and support the Organisation’s vision, mission and business objectives.
- Demonstrate commitment to self-development and seek opportunities to extend skills and knowledge, including management, leadership and supervisory skills.
- Have an ability to handle highly sensitive information in accordance with applicable policy and security requirements.
- Advise and present at internal and external forums, representing relevant equities.
- Work closely with the Partnerships Program in each State and Territory, and stakeholders across ASD, to knowledge share and progress priorities.
ASD Executive Level 2 National Partnerships Director

- Identify, build and sustain trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and set priorities, responsible for establishing a forward plan.
- Delivery of timely, accurate advice including confident and professional executive briefings.
- Identify partnership requirements and capabilities across ASD and create opportunities for collaboration.
- Evaluate business practices, objectives and implement activities to drive continuous improvement.
- Influencing and developing strategies, policies and evaluating business outcomes in support of ASD objectives based on high-level decision making and judgement.
- Anticipates problems and takes steps to minimise or prevent them; identifies and articulates potential risks.
- Conduct market analysis and evaluation to inform the Partnerships Program.
- Have an ability to handle highly sensitive information in accordance with applicable policy and security requirements.
