What’s on Offer
Opportunity – Permanent Full-time position. Some out of hours work will be required during periods of peak workflow, which will be accounted for in accordance with Council’s prevailing Enterprise Bargaining Agreement or the associated Industrial Award

About the Role
The Gawler Sport and Community Centre is a large multi-use facility with a 2 court Stadium and an array of multifunctional spaces and meeting rooms that operates 7 days a week to facilitate a wide range of programs, events and activities.
The Town of Gawler is seeking to employ a Sport and Community Centre Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gawler Sport and Community Centre. In addition to this, the coordinator will be responsible for the Gawler Elderly Centre and for events and activities at the adjacent Princes Park.
This position will support facilities and asset management, contribute to financial oversight and legislative compliance, assist with marketing and promotion efforts, and liaise with hire groups to ensure the team delivers the highest standards of customer service and safety.

About You
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and highly motivated employee who is passionate to making a positive contribution to the Town of Gawler and its community. This role will play a critical role in leading the team to ensure delivery of exceptional customer services to all patrons of the facility.
To be successful in this role you will hold the below essential qualifications:
Relevant tertiary qualifications
Current Provide First Aid and CPR
Current Department of Human Services Working with Children Check
Current unimpeded South Australian Driver’s License
Other essential skills include:
Experience leading teams and managing staff
Experience in venue management
Experience in budget monitoring including actual versus budget expenditure control
Experience in program delivery
Knowledge of stock control processes
Knowledge of marketing and communications tools and processes
