Remuneration: ASO6 ($98,478 - $104,165 pa) / ASO7 ($108,109 - $116,864 pa) + 11.5% Superannuation

We are currently seeking a Principal Aboriginal Workforce Consultant to join the Workforce Strategy and Organisational Development team on a full-time ongoing basis!
In this role, you will be:
Leading the development, delivery and evaluation of Aboriginal recruitment and retention strategies, policies and programs administered by the department.
Providing culturally appropriate advice to a broad range of stakeholders.
Contributing to cultural awareness programs and activities to increase employment opportunities with the department for Aboriginal people.
Conducting training and information sessions relating to effective recruitment practices for Aboriginal people.
Collaborating with the Organisational Development unit and the Learning Excellence and Innovation Academy to develop programmes that focus on mentoring and supporting Aboriginal employees in the workforce.
To be successful:
We are looking for a leader who can work independently and collaboratively who has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated through the preparation of written reports, briefings, and presentations.
Your skills in effectively liaising and negotiating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, will be crucial in addressing sensitive and complex human resource issues. It's essential that you should have a proven track record in developing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment and retention strategies specifically for Aboriginal people. Your ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively will make you a valued team member.
