About us: Proactive Physiotherapy is an established private practice Musculoskeletal clinic, Headache clinic and Women's and Men’s Pelvic Health service located in beautiful Cairns, Far North Queensland We are passionate about patient care and empowering people in all phases of life with evidence-based knowledge and tools to help them achieve their health goals. Proactive is a well-established (over 37 years) and respected practice with a strong network of GP and specialist referrals.

Your mentor will be practicing principal Julie Faulks, physiotherapist, with masters in orthopaedic manipulative physiotherapy, Level 3 Watson headache therapist, bounce back instructor, with years of experience in treating patients and mentoring young physios.

About you: We are searching for a passionate Physiotherapist, who is keen to learn and grow.
As the clinic has special areas of interest in the treatment of headaches, TMD, women’s and men’s pelvic health, we are happy to streamline your work and learning into these areas if you chose. We are also happy for you to work as a general musculoskeletal therapist.
You can join our team in a part-time or full-time basis depending on the work life balance you require.
Essential requirements:
- demonstrate a history of being able to build and retain a full caseload
- AHPRA registration and current professional indemnity insurance. We are not considering anyone requiring viaa sponsorship
- Demonstrated passion for physiotherapy.
- Confidence and ability to build rapport with patients.
- Ability to work within a team and share patient management.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient outcomes with a patient-centred approach.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in private practise..
Desirable requirements:
- Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- A strong work ethic and commitment to delivery of care of a high standard
- Holistic and evidence-based approach to patient assessment and management
- Desire to participate in ongoing professional development.
- A desire to contribute to business growth and maintain/strengthen existing referral networks.
- Ability to work independently but pro-active in seeking guidance if/when needed.
- Previous experience working in a private practice
- Interest in teaching machine Pilates classes (not a pre-requisite)
- Previous Watson headache course participation (desirable but not a pre-requisite)
