Are you passionate about payroll and looking for your next big step? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Payroll Officer to join a welcoming, supportive team on a 12-month contract. In this hands-on role, you’ll mentor and guide a small group of payroll administrators, share your expertise, review payroll data, and help ensure everything runs seamlessly from start to finish.

About the Role

• Process fortnightly payroll for a group of around 1,500 employees, working closely with three other team members
• Coordinate and oversee the workload of the payroll team to ensure all deadlines are met
• Review and verify all pay details prior to upload, maintaining the highest level of data integrity
• Manage payroll queries and masterdata changes efficiently and accurately
• Ensure compliance with multiple awards and EBAs
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Solid payroll experience in a large, complex environment
• Confidence working with multiple awards and EBAs
• A sharp eye for detail, you know that accuracy matters
• Experience leading or coordinating a small team is a big plus
• Great communication skills and a knack for solving problems
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with Success Factors or UKG (Kronos)
• A great sense of humour and a love of working in a team
