The Team:
Project Management Office: The Project Management Office (PMO) drives impactful change by delivering strategic ICT projects that shape the future of the Department. As a foundation of successful project delivery, the PMO also provides project framework, tools, and expert support services, empowering teams to achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.
Digital Health: The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program team is responsible for delivering the Digital Health Transformation Strategy, a 10-year program of work that aims to transform the state’s health system into a world-class, innovative and integrated system designed to empower consumers and enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient outcomes through system-wide, digitally enabled technologies.
The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program, including the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, is essential for efficient delivery of frontline health services into the future. The program aims to significantly enhance healthcare for all people in Tasmania by creating a more connected and accessible health system, ensuring that all Tasmanians receive the care they need, in the right place, at the right time, ultimately improving health outcomes across the state.

The Role:
The Principal Analyst applies high-level expertise across multiple ICT projects, specialising in Business, Data, and/or Test Analysis. The role provides strategic advice, develops advanced analytics models, and translates data into actionable insights to support executive decision-making.
The Principal Analyst conducts in-depth research, interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data to inform project direction. The role assesses risks, evaluates options, and makes recommendations to drive project success. Dependant on identified specialised skills, occupants are expected to undertake additional critical and complex tasks/duties for projects/programs within the Business Analysis, Data Analysis or Test Analysis environments.
You will need:
- Expertise in project management and specialised analyst skills within the Business Analysis, Data and/or Testing environments.
- Proven experience in determining milestones, objectives, methods, and priorities to support the achievement of project deliverables.
- High level conceptual, research and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, together with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including resolving conflict, negotiating solutions, and facilitating change.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full-time, day worker positions, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:
$128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
