The Team:

The newly established Office of the Executive Director of Services – Home & Community Care is committed to advancing the delivery of high-quality, efficient healthcare to Tasmanians in their homes and communities. By encompassing the Department’s Virtual Care services and Outpatient Transformation Program, this office creates opportunities to support and implement innovative service models that enhance consumer access and drive continuous improvement.

The Role:

Contribute to the management and coordination of Home and Community Care programs providing information and guidance on emerging issues of relevance.

Responsible for the provision of high-level analysis and advice on strategic policy issues including monitoring of strategic projects across Home and Community Care programs.

You will need

Proven capacity to critically analyse complex issues, develop evidence-based recommendations, and provide authoritative advice to senior executives, government officials, and stakeholders.

Strong skills in managing sensitive negotiations, maintaining effective governance frameworks, and building collaborative relationships across the health service.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of statewide policies and projects, particularly in the context of Home and Community Care or similar health and community service programs.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2027.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
