About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our team for a 6-month project in Airlie Beach. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter willing to relocate temporarily for site-based construction work.

What you'll be doing

Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to construct formwork structures for concrete pours

Measuring, cutting, and assembling timber, plywood, and other materials to build formwork

Ensuring formwork is properly braced, aligned, and sealed to prevent concrete leakage

Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards

Dismantling formwork after concrete has set and removing materials for reuse or disposal

Maintaining tools and equipment and identifying any safety hazards on site

Collaborating with the wider construction team to coordinate formwork activities

What we're looking for

Formal trade qualification as a Carpenter or equivalent experience

Proven experience in formwork construction, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting

Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings

Strong practical skills and dexterity in the use of hand and power tools

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team

Current Construction Industry White Card and valid driver's license
