Infracon Pacific is a leading industrial automation and critical power systems integrator, serving key sectors including mining, industrial, renewables, and utilities throughout the Pacific region. With a reputation for technical excellence and innovation, we are expanding our team and looking for a dynamic electrical team lead to join our QLD based operations.
As a member of the projects and implementation team, you will be tasked with supervising the planning and installation of various critical power systems, including UPS, voltage stabilizers, power factor correction units, ATS, generators, and associated control systems. This will involve remote coordination with the on-site team as well as traveling to sites as needed.
There will be regular travel involved including to our Port Moresby office in Papua New Guinea, so a willingness and ability to travel is a must.
What you'll be doing
Providing technical presales support to the sales team
Working on R&D and prototype systems
Travelling to and supporting our regional offices and field services teams
Arranging and conducting site inspections
Estimation and generating bill of materials
Plan and coordinate onsite installation works providing oversite and guidance to the installation team
Monitoring the work of electricians to ensure it is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the course of a project
Liaising with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns
Generate training and handover documentation
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Senior Electrician, preferably in the critical power industry
Thorough understanding of electrical systems, including design, installation, and maintenance
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively manage issues that arise
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
Current electrical licence and relevant industry certifications
A positive attitude and a true enthusiasm for power systems and emerging technologies
Experience with UPS and changeover switches a must
Experience and or knowledge of control systems is advantageous
Experience and or knowledge of structured cabling principals advantageous
Experience in renewable energy systems preferable
High level of computer literacy
