You will join a team of experienced scientific staff responsible for providing technical and scientific assessments at the The Wesley Hospital Sleep Disorders Centre and The Wesley Lung Function Lab.

What you’ll do:

  • Work in a NATA/ ASA accredited 6 bed Sleep Lab
  • Provide high quality patient care including patient education with sleep services, lung services, therapy services and clinic services
  • Provide technical skills necessary for our quality sleep investigation unit, ensuring these achieve all practice and NATA guidelines
  • Complete the administrative documentation according to Wesley Hospital admission guidelines
  • Collect and complete relevant Sleep Lab documentation, patient information, digital technical reports and integration of information to achieve optimal testing parameters and service outcomes.
  • Conduct sleep study analysis
  • Complete additional technical and administrative duties as required
  • Adhere to relevant Federal and Queensland Health standards, applicable laws, regulations, guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional patient care ensuring all enquiries are handled appropriately, sensitively and in a timely and professional manner
  • Work within a supervised lab alongside medical specialist clinics
  • Assist in maintaining our Practice facility to an exceptional standard
  • Provide a friendly and professional service for all patients, professional partners and stakeholders

Who you are:

  • Sleep Technical /Scientific experience is highly regarded but not essential
  • Completed tertiary degree qualification with an emphasis in human sciences, including but not limited to physiology, nursing, and sleep science
  • Current CPR and Blue Card certification
  • Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with persons of varied backgrounds and status
  • Exceptional organisation and communication skills with the ability to efficiently work as an effective member of our experienced and supportive scientific team
  • Excellent time-management skills including the ability to set priorities, plan, and organise work outcomes within a specified timeframe
  • Demonstrate an understanding of best practice Workplace Health and Safety
  • Have an ability to provide friendly and efficient patient care and service
