The Firm & The Role

Our client is a well established general practice law firm. The Principals of this firm have been practising for many years and have a strong reputation in the market place.They are one of the 'go to' law firms for the area and they are looking to recruit a lawyer with around 2 to 7 years pae to work on civil law matters for them. A flavour of the work will include:

• general commercial disputes
• debt recovery
• estates litigation
• building disputes
• contractual disputes

The role will also see you providing general commercial and business law advice as well drafting wills, powers of attorneys for clients, attending to probate, property matters.

The work will be very 'hands on'. You will be dealing with clients, briefing counsel, briefing experts, going to court.

About You

• You will have around 2 to 7 years pae in the area of general practice
• Civil litigation experience is essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal confidently with clients
• Attention to detail and be a critical thinker
• A 'can do' attitude, common sense and a commercial approach
