About the Position
We are looking for an energetic Events Supervisor to coordinate a wide range of function & event activities at the club. Our function team, facilities and the demand for functions at Ballina RSL are growing rapidly and we are looking for a team player who always contributes to positive workplace culture and can continue to drive functions and events activity ensuring to maintain strong relationships with current clients whilst also engaging with new clientele to help grow all functions operations.
About the Responsibilities
This position needs someone who can:
Liaise with all internal and external clients during setup and on the day of the event
Daily use of software systems including function tracker, Now Book It, booking calenders, scheduling of air-conditioning to function rooms and event draw.
Data entry, planning, multitasking and time management.
Communication to all relevant staff, supervisors and management relating to function events details, rostering and operational planning.
Liaise with contracted decorators and AV technicians.
Work closely with the function setup and food and beverage team to ensure function operations run smoothly, effectively and to schedule.
Contribute to the growth of functions clientele and revenues.
Maintain strong and positive relationships with all functions clientele.
Work closely with the Rostering Officer to ensure effective and efficient level of staffing
About You
The successful applicant:
Will have experience in a similar role ideally within the hospitality industry
Is a skilled communicator who can build rapport quickly
Very strong customer service focus
Prides themselves on their accuracy and attention to detail
Can manage competing demands, multitask and stay calm under pressure
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively in a team environment
Has experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Sound understanding of AV and troubleshooting
Experience using functions and event software
