Medical Science Liaison – Antimicrobial/Anti-Infective
Location: NSW, VIC or QLD
Are you passionate about advancing antimicrobial therapy and shaping the future of anti-infective treatment? An exciting opportunity is available for a Medical Science Liaison to join a growing organisation as it brings a new antimicrobial/anti-infective product to the ANZ market.
This is a pivotal role for an MSL who is ready to take on broad responsibility across scientific engagement, medical planning, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
You could be an experienced MSL in the anti-infectives/anti-microbial space, a commercial professional in this space or an AMS pharmacist looking to break into industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage with Key Opinion Leaders, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to establish scientific credibility and build strong partnerships.
Map treatment protocols and pathways across hospitals and healthcare institutions in line with antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) policies.
Provide scientific and medical support for commercial teams, including training, data dissemination, and promotional activity alignment.
Lead scientific exchange initiatives, support clinical trials, and contribute to evidence-based product positioning.
Facilitate and participate in medical presentations, conferences, webinars, and strategic engagements with key stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support market access, regulatory, and medical affairs activities.
Ensure all activities comply with Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and relevant industry regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant scientific or healthcare field preferred, BSc will be considered.
Experience as an MSL within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is desirable, but not a requirement.
Expertise in antimicrobial, anti-infective, or related therapeutic areas.
Deep understanding of AMS frameworks and hospital treatment pathways.
Strong KOL mapping and engagement capabilities across ANZ.
Exceptional communication, training, and presentation skills.
Comfortable working autonomously and across multifunctional teams.
Willing to travel within Australia and New Zealand.
