So, when we developed our civil engineering team on the same high standards. We are currently in the careful search for our next CAD Technician to be part of this exciting phase of the company's future.

You will actively support the growth of the ptc. civils team, by providing a high standard of design, drafting and other technical input whilst working on a range of exciting civil engineering projects.

These include work in the Health Sector (notably the $1B Nepean Hospital redevelopment and planning and concept stage of Sydney Children’s Hospital and Comprehensive Cancer Centre ), Education Sector (Sydney University Health and Engineering precinct redevelopments, High Schools and Primary schools), residential sector (from Meriton developments to Defence Housing subdivision and residential flat buildings) and Local Government works (from Blackspot roundabout projects to City of Sydney Cycleway projects).

What we need from you

Your day-to-day work will include (but is not limited to) items set out below,

Prepare high quality civil engineering design and CAD documentation for various infrastructure, civil and building related projects

Produce design documentation conforming with our high drafting standards

Potential to undertake engineering modelling for site grading/earthworks (AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Work collaboratively with the wider engineering staff at ptc. and other designers and engineers, as appropriate; to ensure design documentation is issued in accordance with the project programme

Provide support design services to other ptc. projects

Review information supplied by the client, surveyor, architect or other sub-consultant, to identify details that may affect the final design.

Ensure that client and other consultant supplied documents are filed correctly and document transmittals are completed in accordance with our policy.

Maintain responsibility for management and transfer of drawings.

Provide office administration support relevant to the position, which may include but is not limited to copying, filing and QA administration.
