About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join the Brisbane team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth delivery of projects (ranging from $5m-$30m) by managing contracts, procurement, and financial reporting. You will work closely with the Project Manager and site teams to maintain cost control and compliance while liaising with subcontractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations;
- Prepare and review subcontractor agreements, variations, progress claims, and payment schedules;
- Monitor project budgets and financial reporting, assisting in cost control and forecasting;
- Work closely with project teams to track project performance and manage risks;
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers;
- Assist in the procurement process, including tendering and negotiating contracts; and
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up to date, and aligned with project timelines.
About You
- Minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience as a Contract Administrator in commercial construction in Australia;
- Degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying;
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and financial reporting;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects;
- Experience in multimillion dollar commercial construction – retail, FMCG, education and commercial projects are preferred;
- Extensive knowledge of document control and management as well as financial acumen for processing variations and progress claims;
- Understanding of construction programs and scheduling;
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and negotiation skills; and
- Proficiency in Jobpac/Procore or Cheops and Microsoft Project and Office.
