We’re currently seeking full-time Industrial Machine Operators – Sewing Machinists & Quilters to join our dedicated team at our mattress manufacturing facility in Derrimut.

The successful applicants will be responsible for:

Sub assembly of mattress components using a variety of different sewing machines;

Ensuring components are of superior quality to ensure quality assurance standards are met;

Picking raw materials for sub assembly;

Completing basic operator maintenance to ensure the safety and functionality of machinery;

Housekeeping;

Assisting with other manufacturing tasks as required.

To be successful in this role you must possess prior experience using a sewing machine in an industrial environment (e.g., textiles, clothing, upholstery). In addition, you must:

Be available for an early start;

Be physically fit and capable of performing a demanding role;

Have a reasonable command of the English language including the ability to read production tickets and schedules;

Have full work rights in Australia;

Be willing and able to work in a team environment;

Be able to work flexibly, within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable work demands;

Prior experience in a mattress manufacturing environment would be highly regarding.

You will need to supply two work-related referees; one of which will be used to validate your relevant manufacturing experience. As part of the recruitment process, you will need to undertake a pre-employment medical.

An attractive and rewarding hourly rate is on offer. Overtime paid at penalty rates is also available during peak periods.
