An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and motivated Research Assistant to join our Ear and Hearing Health Team. This position will play a key role in supporting several community-based research studies that aim to improve ear health outcomes. Working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment, you will assist with participant recruitment, data collection and management, ear health assessments, and administrative functions to ensure the smooth operation of our research program.
The Opportunity
As a Research Assistant in the Ear and Hearing Health Team, your duties will include:
Assist in the recruitment and engagement of study participants.
Conduct ear health assessments as per study protocols.
Collect, manage and analyse research data.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date study documentation.
Liaise with internal teams, community partners and stakeholders.
Contribute to ethics and governance reporting, funding requirements and administrative support.
Support the broader Ear Health program and associated projects.
Participate in conferences, workshops and community engagement as required.
This is a full-time position for a period of 12-months, with the possibility of an extension. Part time will be considered for the right candidate.
About You
The successful candidate will hold the following:
A degree in Science, Health Science, Nursing, Public Health, Audiology or a related field.
Demonstrated understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture.
Previous experience in health research, including data collection and data management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
An interest or background in ear and hearing health.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Competence with Microsoft Office, Excel, and electronic data capture tools.
A valid WA driver’s licence.
