We are seeking a reliable and capable Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our team in a modern, well-equipped kitchen environment. This role is perfect for someone with strong hands-on kitchen experience who can confidently step into cooking duties when required — especially during peak service or in the absence of the Head Chef.

You’ll work closely with and be supported by our experienced Head Chef, but a high level of independence, initiative, and resilience is essential.

About the Role:
While the role includes cooking and assisting with food preparation, a large portion of the job still involves general kitchen duties — including washing dishes, cleaning down stations, mopping floors, and scrubbing ovens. We want someone who takes pride in a clean kitchen and is happy to pitch in wherever needed.

This position is for someone who knows their way around a busy kitchen, can manage dockets, handle the grill (including steaks), and is just as comfortable cleaning and doing dishes.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen

Competence on the grill and with basic cooking tasks

Willingness to take direction and work closely with the Head Chef

Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player

Comfortable with the physical demands of cleaning
