We are seeking a skilled Electronic Security Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience working on-site. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security infrastructure operates efficiently and meets the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

System Installation:

Install and configure access control systems, CCTV cameras, and intrusion detection systems.

Mount and wire devices such as door controllers, card readers, and video equipment.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve system faults and malfunctions efficiently.

Perform regular system inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliability.

System Programming:

Program and integrate security systems with software and network infrastructure.

Test all components to ensure compatibility and optimal functionality.

Client Support & Training:

Provide technical support and training to clients on system usage and troubleshooting.

Address customer inquiries and ensure timely issue resolution.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and configurations.

Generate service reports and update management on project progress.

Qualifications

Certificate III in Telecommunications Technology and Trade certificate or equivalent experience,

3+ years of experience in electronic security systems installation and maintenance.

Proficiency in wiring, hardware installation, and system programming.

Familiarity with CCTV, access control, alarms, and intercom systems.

Knowledge of network protocols (IP, TCP/IP) and basic networking.

Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Licensing Requirements

NSW 2C Security Licence

Open Cabling Licence

Driving Licence

OH&S Construction Induction White Card

Preferred Skills

Certifications such as Inner Range Integriti, ICT Protege and Hikvision.

Experience with IP-based security systems.

Knowledge of cybersecurity practices related to security equipment.
