Lead high-quality projects with a collaborative Sydney studio

We’re seeking a seasoned and capable Project Lead Architect to join our established, construction documentation-focused practice in Sydney. This is a senior leadership role for someone who knows how to run complex residential projects from start to finish; confidently leading teams, managing consultants and stakeholders, and delivering outstanding architectural outcomes with precision, clarity, and care.

Our studio is known for its deep commitment to design quality, efficiency and technical rigour. We specialise in Class 2 residential apartment buildings. Our portfolio also includes education, industrial, commercial, seniors living and childcare sectors. We pride ourselves on a grounded, collaborative approach and are looking for someone who shares these values.

About the Role

You’ll be working directly with the Practice Directors and overseeing multiple projects through all phases: from early design to documentation, authority approvals, tendering, and construction. You’ll be leading teams, mentoring staff, engaging with clients and consultants, and maintaining a high standard of design delivery across the board.

This role suits an experienced architect with sound experience leading residential projects. You’ll bring confidence, and a proactive mindset to everything you do.

You Are:

A Registered Architect in Australia with 10+ years post-graduate experience

An accomplished project leader with a strong portfolio of Class 2 multi-residential work

Confident and experienced across all project stages, including construction

Highly proficient in Revit, with excellent documentation and coordination skills

A strong communicator who can lead internal teams and external stakeholders alike

Thoroughly familiar with NCC, SEPP65, ADG, and other key compliance frameworks

Experienced in project budgeting, programming, and risk management

A natural mentor who enjoys supporting and guiding junior staff

DBP Practitioner registration is a plus, but not essential

Experience in commercial, industrial, education or childcare projects is also a bonus
