About the Service
KICS Kinship & Foster Care focuses on securing stable and enduring kinship & foster care placements for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children and young people in the context of their whole family.
KICS is a partnership service delivered by Kummara Limited & Infinity Community Solutions Ltd.
KICS is a child and young person centred, whole-of-family focused out-of-home care service resting on the foundation practice framework of the Family Partnership Model. The service provides out-of-home care support while maintaining a whole-of-family lens focused on wellbeing, attachment and bonding through case management and the application of family-led decision making principles.
About the Role
The Program Manager role is responsible for contributing to the effective and efficient operations of allocated programs and to ensure all allocated programs are delivered in a manner congruent with service agreements, operational plans, regulatory requirements as well as the relevant practice model and methods to ensure the needs of children, young people and their families/carers are met, giving them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology/ Human Services or related discipline).
Demonstrated skills and experience in working in the child protection or family support sector.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in similar management role within a Not for Profit/Non-Government Organisation with a focus on evidence-based practice.
Excellent operational leadership and management skills, with the capacity to translate strategies into operational activities.
Experience in financial, risk and human resource management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organisation.
Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
Possess a Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence.
Possess, or be able to obtain a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Ability to apply for any other legislatively required personal history screening as required..

Tasks and responsibilities
Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the kinship & foster care services operated by Kummara & Infinity Community Solutions (KICS).
Provide specialist casework advice and make appropriate case work decisions, including after-hours support to carers (on a rostered basis).
Provide effective leadership and program management to ensure high quality service delivery, as per the specifications, requirements and performance indicators defined within the service agreement, relevant practice requirements and any other relevant program and / or organisational documentation in order to effectively respond to client needs.
Maintain and demonstrate accountability for resources within the programs, including staffing, physical resources, and monetary resources in line with KICS delegations of authority.
Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to prepare, undertake and maintain external licensing/accreditation requirements. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of clients, employees, and stakeholders alike whilst also ensuring secure systems are in place across the organisation.
